Instructor Bio's: 

Igor Fraga, originally from Minas Gerais - Brasil, started his career in New York spreading his love for Zouk all over North America. Working as an instructor, he has traveled all over the United States and internationally to spread his clean, fluid, and smooth dancing. With influence from various styles of Zouk and other dances, he focus his work into Neo, and RnB-Zouk mainly. Always looking to do his best, he colletcts awards such as the North American Zouk Champion in both Amateur and Semi-Pro divisions, and most recently 3rd in a international Jack and Jill competition, intermediate level.


Christina Montoya, found Brazilian Zouk & she immediately fell in love with the dance. Partnering with Igor Fraga in Los Angeles, California to compete at the 2nd Annual US Zouk Open Competition where they received first place in the Semi-Pro division. Since then, she trained with various international artists and received an Introductory Zouk Instruction Certification through Zouk NY. She began teaching Zouk in Los Angeles, California and has had the opportunity to teach at various festivals throughout the US, Canada, and Europe. Christina has received 1st place for Brazilian Zouk Jack & Jill competition in Europe in the intermediate category.

As her devotion for Zouk and pure love for teaching it grew, she decided to move to New York where she has continued her partnership with Igor Fraga. Together they share their passion for teaching and dancing. Christina hopes to inspire others and spread the beauty of Zouk to the dancer inside everyone.


Kimberly Loo, began dance training at age 4 just couldn't stop. Dance was one of her three majors at university, alongside English and Anthropology; her Bachelor's degree in Dance with a Performance and Choreography emphasis from Pomona College in California alongside a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification from Mahatma Yoga in India. Kimberly's formal training encompasses ballet, jazz, modern, international ballroom, salsa, bachata, and her favorite, Brazilian Zouk. 

Kimberly has twice won collegiate championships in International Ballroom (both Latin and Standard), the Hawaii Salsa Championship, won runner up at the Texas Salsa Open, placed in several BZDC Strictly Zouk and Zouk Jack & Jills, and has been invited to perform and teach throughout the Aloha state and in California, Texas, Mexico, Morocco, and India.
